MEN’S IRON RANGER 6-INCH BOOT IN RED WING’S ICONIC ORO LEGACY
The Iron Ranger was originally built for iron miners in the 1930s. In
the decades since, it has grown indispensable for owners from all
walks of life thanks to its iconic style and longevity. The six-inch
boot’s signature feature is a leather toe cap that is as distinctive
as it is durable. Each pair develops a personalized fit and custom
comfort over time thanks to leather insoles and a cork midsole
that form to feet. The boots are built with a Goodyear welt and
Puritan triple-stitch construction, and nickel speed hooks provide
precision lacing and a visual hit of hardware. The Iron Ranger is
anchored with a Vibram® 430 Mini-Lug outsole.
A new pair of Red Wing Heritage footwear should fit comfortably tight on the foot, with enough room to freely wiggle toes. As you wear the footwear, the full grain leather upper, insole, and cork midsole will mold to your feet, creating an increasingly personalized fit over time.
For the Iron Ranger we recommend sizing DOWN one full size from your usual sneaker size (if you wear an 11 in sneakers, order a 10 in the Iron Ranger). If possible, come in and try on our footwear options in store to ensure the proper fit.

ABOUT ORO LEGACY LEATHER
Oro Legacy leather is proprietary to Red Wing Shoes and developed in
partnership with S.B. Foot Tanning Company as a re-production of the
original leather first used in the 1950’s on the iconic #875 Classic Moc
style. The full-grain, aniline leather requires Grade A hide selection since
all natural textures remain visible with minimum finishing. The exceptionally
durable, oil-tanned material is water, stain and perspiration resistant and
ages with grace when provided proper care.
ABOUT VIBRAM ® 430 MINI-LUG
The Vibram® 430 Mini-Lug provides traction across daily terrains.
From the side, shoes appear flat, similar to archival designs that once
used leather outsoles. With the increased technology offered from the
Vibram® outsole, the same style is achieved but with desired traction
for today’s daily necessities.
