Constructed of 100% Cotton 18oz Martexin water repellant canvas, and sewn with single needle lockstitch, hand-felled seams, double needle flap pockets, and complete with a drawstring, taped-seam hood. Furnished with durable, solid brass snaps for placket and flap pocket closure. Three exterior pockets and one interior. Made in Hartford, Connecticut from start to finish by our friends at HARDENCO. The water repellant treatment on Martexin cloth is not environmentally damaging, and uses no fluoropolymers or formaldehyde. This treatment instead uses a wax base, and is not surface applied, rather impregnated into the fiber, making the cloth water repellant rather than the surface. As it is cotton, it can be rewaxed, as it will very gradually lose a slight bit of its repellancy over time, but conveniently enough, we sell Otter Wax, which you can reapply yourself!
