This 5-panel cap is based on several original courier and painter caps from the early 20th century in our archives. They are constructed exclusively for Hudson's Hill by Norma Hildebrand of Stockbridge Sewing Works. Norma is an expert hatmaker, who specializes in vintage baseball caps and uniforms. In fact, you may have seen her handy work in our Hudson's Hill Throwback Baseball Caps, a series of vintage-inspired local minor league baseball caps, at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and even in famous Hollywood movies like "A League Of Their Own." She uses antique industrial sewing equipment, durable sweatband and brim materials, and fashions each one with a full-grain leather strap and solid brass closure for adjustability.
Our newest run are made with a 2" brim commonly called a shorty brim, and we used a rare collection of vintage fabrics, including some you won't see ever again, anywhere else! We hope you enjoy this Summer '22 treat!

Multicolor Stripe Denim: 100% Cotton [11 Oz.] 3x1 selvage denim, originally produced by Cone Mills Corporation as a novelty fabric in the 1970's.
Indigo Denim: 100% Cotton [12 Oz.] 3x1 selvage denim, originally produced by Cone Mills' White Oak plant in the early 2000's.
Tie Dye Denim: 100% Cotton [12 Oz.] 3x1 bull denim with marbleized tie-dye print, originally produced by Cone Mills' White Oak plant in the late 1990's.
OshKosh Newspaper Advertising Denim: 100% Cotton [11 Oz.] 3x1 bull denim printed with vintage newspaper advertisements for the 75th anniversary of Oshkosh Overalls, originally produced by Cone Mills in the 1990's.
