A Band Collar Work Shirt with Vintage DNA

The Mister Freedom® "Homesteader" Shirt in Indigo is a modified version of their signature Sportsman Shirt, this time cut with a clean band collar and narrow chin strap. Inspired by American workwear from the 1920s–50s, the design nods to an earlier era of utility and craftsmanship. It’s Mister Freedom’s take on the detachable-collar shirting styles of the ‘30s, pared down and built to last.

Made from NOS Cone Mills Indigo Jacquard

This version of the Homesteader Shirt is cut from a 6.5 oz. 100% cotton jacquard fabric, sourced from Cone Mills deadstock. It’s light enough for year-round wear, and the indigo dye gives it character that will develop with age. Finished with vintage French glass buttons from the 1920s, indigo poplin facings and gussets, and chainstitched throughout. Constructed in the USA.

The shirt ships raw/unwashed and is cut to shrink to tagged size after a cold soak and dry. Like all Mister Freedom® garments, it’s meant to be worn hard and broken in over time.

Fit and Shrinkage Notes

This shirt is designed to shrink down to its intended size after one wash. We recommend a cold soak or gentle machine wash, followed by a hang dry. Christophe (CL) wears a Small. Compare the post-wash measurements below with a similar shirt in your wardrobe for best fit.
