The Brown Melange Shaggy Flannel is constructed from a heavyweight cotton tweed fabric, woven into a complex six-tone houndstooth pattern. The 7oz Japan-sourced fabric is sure to keep you warm on even the coldest days. Napped and sheared to leave a shaggy, super soft hand for comfort in wear and muted aesthetic. This shirt has a single chest pocket with matched fabric for low profile, double track sewn placket for durability, chalk buttons, a button on the back of the collar to keep it in place, and a locker loop on the back.
Gitman has been producing fine clothing in Ashland, Pennsylvania for 90 years, launching the Gitman Brothers label in 1978. Through the years, they have produced private label for the likes of Burberry, Brooks Brothers, Tom James, Paul Stewart and Thom Browne, to name a few. Gitman shirts have been a go-to wardrobe staple favorite for U.S. Congress members for decades. Since 2008, Gitman Vintage has been led by Christ Olberding, who has poured through archived fabric books consisting of vibrant shirting and cloth used through nearly a century of business, and thoughtfully led the production of this niche of the business to capture that which set Gitman Brothers apart for decades: their unique selection of fabrics.
